High-Security
Entryway
Doors:
Are
They
Right
for
your
Home?

Do
you
live
in
the
city?
Are
you
worried
about
the
crime
in
your
neighborhood?
Have
any
of
your
neighbors
experienced
a
break-in?
If
you
answered
yes
to
any
of
these
questions,
you
may
want
to
take
steps
to
increase
the
security
of
your
home.
Generally,
thieves
won't
break
into
a
home
that
looks
very
secure.
The
appearance
of
a
high
security
entryway
door
can
do
a
lot
to
deter
a
potential
thief
from
breaking
into
your
home.
If
the
door
is
made
out
of
high
security
steel,
a
thief
will
know
that
it
will
be
very
hard
or
next
to
impossible
to
kick
it
in.
Thieves
will
also
balk
when
they
see
high
security
storm
doors,
because
they
know
that
it
will
take
them
twice
as
long
to
break
through
two
doors
than
one.
If
you
buy
a
storm
door
for
protective
purposes,
you'll
probably
need
to
get
one
made
out
of
steel
or
fiberglass.
Many
aluminum
storm
doors
protect
a
house
against
the
elements,
but
are
pretty
flimsy
and
not
very
useful
in
deterring
criminals.
Apart
from
owning
high
security
entryway
doors,
you
should
make
sure
your
patio
doors
or
back
doors
are
also
secure.
Many
people
buy
high
security
wrought
iron
patio
doors
to
ward
away
potential
thieves.
These
doors
are
even
more
effective
when
the
tops
are
pointed.
Those
trying
to
climb
over
these
doors
into
your
backyard
may
think
twice
if
there
isn't
a
good
foothold
to
assist
their
climb.
